What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I took the Agility Peak 5 Zero GORE-TEX out in seriously wet conditions, and it crushed every mile—no water seepage, stable underfoot, and the Vibram grip gave me confidence even on slick rock. The gaiter-style cuff seals everything out without feeling restrictive."
When trail days turn wet, muddy, or downright unpredictable, the Agility Peak 5 Zero GORE-TEX Shoe from Merrell keeps us locked in and moving confidently. Designed to handle rugged terrain and foul conditions, this waterproof trail runner features a GORE-TEX membrane, integrated ankle gaiter, and full lace-down design to keep debris, water, and discomfort out of the equation.
The high stack height (31mm heel / 25mm toe) combined with FloatPro™ midsole cushioning absorbs impact and keeps long efforts feeling smooth. Vibram® MegaGrip® outsoles deliver the traction we need on exposed roots, slick slab, and loose gravel. Best pair of shoes tennis shoe hybrid I ever had
Believe it or not the first day I wore them I'm a pilot. I flew a brand new Gulfstream G700. And a 6-hour flight those are really comfortable I didn't even realize I had them on my feet I got a lot of compliments on them would you please let me know when you get more in I'd like to get a green pair.

Painful/poor design of the top of the shoes
The base/sole is OK, but the top is badly designed as it really hurts the skin and is painful while walking/running with.

Year round, 30,000 steps,unique shoes!
Bought a pair of these last winter for my son. He was experiencing foot pain, but loved hiking. Now he's pain free. Just now I bought the last pair of 14's for the future for him.

Solid Shoes for trekking.
I purchased these shoes for trekking and hiking in rugged terrains. The Agility Peak 5 Gore-Tex don’t disappoint. They are comfortable, reliable for hiking in rugged terrains and keep your feet warm in colder conditions. They are relatively light and provide good foot support. I used them to hike the Walkers Houte Route from Argentire, France to Zermatt, Switzerland for ten days and the shoes performed well in rocky, muddy and snow conditions. They have a solid rock plate that help to keep your feet from feeling sharp rocks and boulder’s under you. They are water resistant, in my experience. I hiked one day in the Alps and my feet got wet after 4 hours of walking in heavy rain conditions. The shoes kept me warm though. They do not perform as well on ice when micro spikes are needed with most boots. I ordered a second pair for my future adventures.

Beautiful shoe.
I was worried when ordering that I should have gone up another half size than I normally do with most shoes, I am glad that I didn't and that the normal 10.5 size I order was perfect with these 10.5's . So, I'd take the recommendation from Merrell to size up from your normal size with a grain of salt. I do not like wearing thick socks in any of my shoes, or my climbing boots. That would be the only reason I'd size up is if you like to wear thicker socks. I find them very reminiscent of the Salomon XA Alps that I have, I'd say they are a cross between a Hoka and those Salomon's. The cushioning and the footprint size is similar to what you'd expect with a Hoka running shoe, but the color, gator, and even the inner shoe screams Salomon XA Alp. Just like most of you, I also got these on sale and I think they are a screaming deal for that price. I hope that They continue with these shoes in the future, I know I would buy another pair if they did.

Waterproofing didn't last long
I loved these when I first got them less than a year ago. They are no longer waterproof, my toes get wet when I run through water.

Great winter shoe so far
I've only put 30 mountain miles on these, but so far they are working well for me. Very warm, waterproof (but need to test that more), comfortable for my wider foot. I've used La Sportiva winter shoes in the past and they work well but are too narrow for my feet even with a half size up. These have plenty of room for heavy socks with my usual size 9.5 Mens. I've used them with microspikes, snowshoes, and as a bare boot on snow, and all work well with this shoe. Definitely recommend if you have wider feet. I'll have to see how long they last compared to other brands.
