Why We Like The Marmot PreCip Eco Jacket
The Marmot PreCip Eco Jacket has become a fan favorite for a reason, boasting incredibly breathable waterproofing for trekking in wet weather. The NanoPro waterproof membrane blocks wind and water while allowing air to circulate, so whether we're pushing towards an alpine summit or walking in swampy forests, we stay cool on the move. The sealed seams keep moisture from sneaking in to our baselayers, and the adjustable hem and cuffs create a barrier from sideways blowing rain. In warm weather, we can unzip the underarm vents to allow hot air to escape, and the adjustable hood stows away into the collar for those moments when the sun breaks through the clouds, and we're rewarded with stunning views.

Overall good initial performance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A very effective light weight rain jacket. Repels wind and rain (consistently keeps me dry). The quality of the outer shell over time remains questionable. The jacket shows wear marks from the zipper assembly after only two uses. Purely cosmetic for now, but I would expect something better from Marmot.

Great Rain jacket from a great brand for a great price. Fits to size, has vents which control heat, and is definitely waterproof so it does the job.

Not a true rain jacket
This jacket does not repel rain very well. It absorbs it almost immediately. I don't know how it is classified / marketed as as a rain jacket nor what people can really use it for but I was pretty disappointed spending the money. A heavy duty garbage bag performs better.

Love the pit zips and adjustable hood. Kept me dry in a drizzle for 1 hour with minimal soaking through just around the wrists, but I haven't worn it in anything too crazy yet.

The PreCip excels in the fit, rain protection and breathability departments. I also love that it's lightweight and packs away easily. The only downfall is the lining began flaking after only a couple season of light use. I really expected to get more use out of it.

Great Rain Jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a legit rain jacket. I usually wear a large and the large fits exactly right. The jacket doesn’t feel too constricting or bulky. The hood is nice and can be tightened. I also like the blue color. I wish it was a few ounces lighter, which would make it perfect for backpacking.

Does the PreCip Eco Rain jacket have front velcro closures in addition to the front zipper so in light rain, or a quick run out to the mailbox, I can velcro tack it closed without having to use the zipper?

I am 6'3" and 235lbs with a 36" sleeve and 39" waist. I wear XL in most jackets, but your sizing seems to say XXL. What would you recommend?

I was wondering if the delamination problems of the inside linings peeling and flaking away of the precip eco waterproof jackets so many customers have given bad reviews on were addressed and resolved on current precip jackets ?
