I just received this coat in small (midnight navy) and it fits me perfectly. Thanks to other reviewers (especially Jessica H) for the sizing heads-up because this does run small. I am 5'7", a fit 126 lbs, and a 34-36B. I usually wear a 4 and sometimes 2 in brands that run large. I've always needed XS in Eddie Bauer or Land's End coats. I have room for a thick sweater or a fleece underneath but no more- fortunately I live in Kansas City and rarely need more than a layer underneath. There is more room in the hips for flexibility. If you have a larger chest, size up! This isn't flashy but will be perfect for our early October trips to extreme Northern Michigan where we take fire pitting to the next level during the cold nights. I love the handwarmer pockets and fleece lining in the torso. Since I won't be able to wear this for several months, I'm giving it a 4. Will check back post-Michigan.

WARM, windproof, and lovely color. True to size. Above knee length provides freedom of movement enough coverage for great warmth.

I love my new Marmot. I bought a small and initially I thought it may be tight, it fits just right. I’m 5’4 and 115lbs. Great quality.

VERY warm, wind proof, and the inside fleece lining is soft and has kept me warm with just a t-shirt underneath though there is room for more layers. The fur rimmed collar is a dressed up touch to all of the performance elements. Ventilation zips might be nice but not a must, given this jacket is meant for those coldest days and nights while out and about. Length also protects my thighs, which I love. Note that the coat is bulky! Bought the navy and love it.

I was looking for a down-filled coat with a fur-lined hood and a flattering silhouette and this one checks those boxes! It does feel quite a bit lighter weight than the down-filled coat I'm replacing but hopefully that doesn't mean it won't be as warm. Regarding fit - I'm 5'4/125 lbs and I went with a small which is my normal size. I think a medium would've been way too big on me, even though almost everyone says to size up. I will say, the shoulders are a bit narrow and the bust would be tight for someone who's larger chested. I'm a 34B so it works just fine for me. :) (With room for a sweater underneath even) The flared fit at the bottom makes it easy to move freely and get in and out of a car, etc. I just think you have to be more of a pear shape to wear your normal size in this coat because it's definitely small on top. Hope this helps someone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coat is warm and comfortable! Sleeve length and shoulder width are good, slightly shorter than I anticipated (barely covers hips). Very fitted (medium is hard to zip if I wear a heavy sweater underneath).

This is a lovely, stylish, warm puffer coat, with a slim fit. We recently had a cold snap, with temps dropping to 5 degrees and it kept me toasty with just a light sweater underneath. As others have said, this coat runs small. For reference, I’m 5’ 6.5”, 138 and bought a large, in navy and it fits very close to the body.

Beautiful jacket runs small

The jacket is beautiful. Why it gets 4 stars is because I always where a medium with plenty of room to wear sweaters under, and this jacket is tight around the shoulders and chest.
