Fantastic Jacket
I have used this jacket as a rain shell and winter shell the past season. It has performed fantastically. It is noticeably more breathable than other hardshells I've had, and has performed well in wet conditions (rain, melting snow) in Colorado. I have not tested the product in wetter climates. At the cost of weight, some front pockets would be appreciated. Overall, I love the jacket and am very sad to have misplaced it in my recent move. Would recommend!

Great, durable shell
This shell is a durable, do it all product. It has great pocket placement for access when wearing a backpack. The usability ranges I found are for skiing, hiking, and climbing. Other ski shells have hand gaiters that limit use for anything else while this one does not, a plus for what I am looking for. The fabric is 70D, the equivalent of most Gore-Tex Pro shells. This is a proprietary Mammut shell that uses an eco friendly DWR coating, better for the earth but it does not stay as waterproof as the older PFC shells. It means a bit more maintenance to reapply, but it’s a worthwhile sacrifice.

perfect jacket
used it over the weekend during a ski touring trip, we had crazy wind and cold weather. Loved that it was not that "rigid" as the normal gore-tex jacket and it was still super wind proof. the waterproofness is yet to be tested, but I am sure it will bring the usual Mammut quality and will perform perfectly.

Great jacket! breathable, lightweight and packable! I recommend you order on size up. I'm 6'-0" 220lbs and typically wear a size large. An extra large fits perfect for just enough room underneath for a layer or two.

Does the job
This is a very significant addition to my Mt. Kilimanjaro summit night, but i have been enjoying it this winter when i don't wanna wear a down and it's not to cold or too warm; I love the fact that its waterproof and has deep pocket.

Fanstastic well made jacket
I was deciding between the Taiss and the Taiss pro jacket, however, after looking at the amount of zipper I went with the Taiss Pro. I'm amazed at the quality of the jacket. I've never owned a mammut jacket before, however, I heard many great things about the jacket. The first thing I noticed was the quality. If I don't get at least 10-15 years of skiing out of this jacket I will be amazed, while it is a bit heavier than the regular Taiss by 300 grams, I think the quality of this jacket is worth the slightly added weight. The amount of zippers on the jacket is phenomenal. In addition to this the zippers are situated well throughout the jacket, and are also good quality and easy to zip and unzip. There is also several pockets on the inside, so if you like having lots of storage I would go with this one. In regards to the fit, I got a large because I wasn't sure if the XL would be to long on my arms. The large fits very well around the wasit and arms. The only thing I could say about the size and jacket as a whole is that if you have a muscular build it might be tighter around the chest and as a result layering might be tough. Despite that the jacket has fared very well. The waterproofing is as legit as it says with a 2800mm water column. I haven't gotten the jacket soaked yet but my initial wearing of the jacket leads me to believe that the jacket is extremely breathable and able to dry quickly. I can't say enough great things about this jacket. I will be going with Mammut again when I wear this one out in 10 years.

This is a great jacket and does a wonderful job keeping out the elements. The sleeves are longer than other jackets, but I have found it give me more articulation and keeps what ever I have underneath my jacket dry since it doesn’t pull up my wrist when I move. The body of the jacket fits well. I agree with others that some additional pockets would be nice. I would also like to see some more adjustments for the hood for a more custom fit. Overall I think this will be a great jacket for years to come. I ordered a large and it fits well. I am 5’ 11”, 192 lbs.

Great waterproofing and good DWR. So far no wetting out and good breathability, although I’ve only used it in some light to medium rain/snow. I’d prefer hand warmer pockets to the double chest pockets, but you can get that in the pro version if that’s what you’re looking for.
