Alto Guide HS Hooded Jacket—technical hardshell for peak performance
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I wore the Alto Guide on a week-long trek in the Dolomites, and it handled everything from sudden squalls to long days on exposed ridgelines. The PFC-free DRY Tour fabric kept me dry without feeling clammy, and the underarm zips were perfect for venting during high-output sections."
When the clouds roll in and the summit push can’t wait, we trust the Mammut Alto Guide HS Hooded Jacket Women to stand up to the worst of it. Built for all-around mountain performance, this jacket pairs the durability of Mammut DRY Tour with thoughtful features like underarm vents and a helmet-compatible hood—so we’re ready for every climb, every scramble, every turn of the trail.
With a regular fit that layers easily over baselayers and midlayers, it’s our trusty shield against mountain squalls and windswept ridgelines. A jacket that carries us through the peaks and valleys of alpine adventures.

This jacket is perfect for ski touring. Warm but breathable. Its also supports ample movement.

Nice jacket, but. . .
It's a good jacket, and I sized up to allow for layers. The one thing it's lacking are pockets. There are no hand pockets, so you keep reaching to the pit-zips to unzip non-existent pockets. Inside there is a tiny zipped pocket on the right-side, and a useless mesh pocket on the left (I wouldn't keep anything in there as it would likely fall out). On the front is a large Napoleon style pocket on the left, and a much smaller one on the right. The hood is gigantic, and would easily fit over a helmet if needed. It's a good in-bounds ski/snowboard jacket, just missing some useful features in my opinion.

Nice jacket…
compares well to Marmot Gore-Tex and Patagonia top products I’ve owned in the past …Not sure why they limited the amount of pockets. Could’ve used another sleeve pocket and maybe one porch chest pocket for the cost I would expect.
