Why We Like The KEEN Targhee IV Mid WP Hiking Boot
When the trail is more mud than dirt, and there's more rain in the forecast, we trust the KEEN Targhee IV Mid WP Hiking Boot to keep our feet dry and stable over slippery terrain. The KEEN.DRY waterproof membrane repels mud and water as we pick our way across ruts and roots, keeping our socks dry the entire way. The KEEN.RUGGED sole provides excellent traction, giving us excellent grip as we scramble over wet rocks, and the heel capture system and stability shank keep our foot secure so we can trust each step on our way to the summit.

Here's what customers have to say
The hiking boots are generally well-received, with many customers praising their comfort, support, and durability. The boots are described as lightweight yet sturdy, providing good traction and support on various terrains. Customers appreciate the waterproof feature, which keeps their feet dry in wet conditions. However, some reviewers had issues with the tongue of the boot turning or not staying in place, and a few experienced the soles delaminating over time. Overall, the boots are considered a high-quality, reliable option by most customers.

Improvement
Loved the targhee III but soles came apart. These are much improved but slightly heavier. Tolerable though. We’ll see how they wear.

Super Boot!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hike daily (approx 30 miles a week and 8,000 plus of elevation gain) in the mountains surrounding Tucson. I’ve been exclusively wearing Targhee boots for several years have found that the Targhee IV is lasting months longer than prior versions. Hats off to a great manufacturing process and the great looks of the boot.

Very comfortable boot
Right out of the gate these fit like a glove. So lightweight and so comfy. I do hope they hold up for a good while; very happy with them so far. I wear a size 9. 5 d normally, 10 d fits perfect! I would recommend going up half size.

My 8th pair of Keens. What more can I say, open the box put them on and go. Never a break in period, never a rub or blister. Total confidence in every product.

Keen
At first I liked them very light and comfortable but buy the second time I wore them the tung of one of the boots kept sliding off to the side and made it very uncomfortable. No matter how many times I re tide them it keeps recurring. I do believe there is something wrong with it and I dread wearing them do to this problem.

Size Discrepancy
I This is the fourth pair of Targhee Boots I have purchased over the years. The previous 3 pair of boots were a size 12 (my normal shoe size is 11. 5). This time, I went ahead and ordered a 12 just like in the past and the boots seem too big, so I have had to order another pair of 11. 5 boots.

Solid boot. Very happy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comfortable and well made. Really like the mid-height, esp due to an earlier ankle injury.

Big Time SURPRISED
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in the Mountains & Great Boots are a Must! I own Timberland’s, Cat’s, Danners & other Top Brands so I had to try The Keen Targhee IV’s and Wow! The Look & Build was Impressive! I had to send the first pair back because they ran a half size too Big! In my opinion. I ordered the same pair 1/2 smaller and they showed up quickly. I was excited to finally try them out and I must say, They were extremely impressive. Really good fit, Great Support & Super Comfortable! Very well built. Exactly what I look for in a Boot. The Brindle/Canteen Color was Impressive as well. I’ll probably get a couple more pair, after seeing how they hold up. Note: I didn’t see it in other reviews, but you might consider ordering a half size smaller. Overall Fantastic Boot, You gotta get you some of these!

Seams are uncomfortable
This is the third pair we have tried and they all have bunching in the seam inside. The shoe itself is great, with good support and visually appealing. However there continues to be some defects inside the shoes, in different spots that make them unwearable.
