MICROspikes Traction System
Instead of pulling the ol' banana peel slip and eating it on icy trails, strap on the Kahtoola MICROspikes Traction System for instant footing and more graceful movement. Burly stainless steel cleats are connected by flex chains and an elastomer harness for a snug and secure fit and high performance traction.
With a new lower profile harness, eyelet reinforcements, and an integrated toe bale, these MICROspikes are the lightest and lowest profile version yet. A heel tab makes the system a breeze to get on or off, and a sturdy front bar holds it in place up front. Whether you're walking the dog, fishing on a frozen river, or doing that high-altitude hike to an icy peak, the MICROspikes help you keep your footing and prevent your butt from hitting the ground. And now the MICROspikes come with a tote sack so you have somewhere to store them when you get to lower elevations.

Here's what customers have to say
The product provides excellent traction on ice and snow, with reviewers finding it sturdy, comfortable, and easy to use, especially for winter hiking and walking on icy trails. Stop Face Planting and Buy Them!
They work great! Stopped me from face planting more times than I cared to count. The only ice cleats that stay on winter boots and offer a significant hold on icey trails. Highly recommend

Great traction
These microspikes are fantastic. We've had a very icy winter and these stand up to dangerous conditions when most spikes fail. They are sturdy and comfortable.

Great for steep brushing terrain
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I had a cheap pair of Amazon microspikes that busted after a few intense hunts in rocky shale in Alaska, so I bought these in hopes of more strength. Been on a few hunts with these and they have great traction, just waiting to put these through the ringer! So far so good though

Serious Ice Cleats
Looking forward to using them this 2024-2025 season. I walk daily 3-4 miles on a dirt road that accumulates ice coverage in winter months. The spike depth (3/8”) are large and should be strong enough to prevent slipping on icy surfaces.

Kahtoola Microspikes
I own one pair of these already and find them to be excellent for light to moderate hiking. If you're climbing in the Presidentials of the White Mountains in winter, you might want even more aggressive spikes. A very well made product, produced here in Maine. I use them regularly while harvesting ice commercially from Squam Lake, NH.
