Polar Surge Ascent 20oz Water Bottle keeps water cold and flowing fast for hot rides and hard pushes
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve used the Polar Surge Ascent all summer—it keeps my water cold longer than any other bottle I’ve tried. The Surge cap is leak-free and super easy to clean, and the flow rate is high enough that I’m not sucking air on big climbs."
Long climbs and exposed trails are no match for the Polar Surge Ascent 20oz Water Bottle. Designed for fast-paced efforts in warm conditions, this bottle combines high-flow performance with lasting insulation to keep us cool and hydrated from the first mile to the last.
The Surge™ cap delivers a solid stream with a simple squeeze, then self-seals for clean, no-drip transport when we're hammering over rough terrain. With its Tri-Layer™ insulation and reflective heat shield, it keeps our drink cold for hours—no more sipping lukewarm water mid-ride. Easy to clean, comfortable to hold, and shaped to slide effortlessly into bike cages, the Polar Surge is our go-to bottle when the heat is on.

Decent Looking Bottle, But...
Bottles look good, but are too stif to drink from on the bike easily and the spout does not flow enough.

Much lower quality than the old polar bottles
The new bottles are very stiff and hard to squeeze. The new lids leak. HydraPak took a great product and made it much worse. Will never buy again.

Not great
This bottle functions well to keep liquids cold. However, the spout actually does not flow that easy and the bottle is very hard to squeeze - even with two hands. If I’m really needing a drink, I have to stop and unscrew the lid to get one. I would not buy again.

Disappointed.
Did not like the stiffness of bottle and spout. Would not buy again. It does keep water cooler for a reasonable length of time in summer.

Excellent
lol the new style top. Works amazing for biking, took a little messing with to figure out how to clean, but once you figure it out it’s very simple.

Awesome thermal insulation
I am super pleased with this bottle. The insulation keeps my water cold on long hot rides in the hot south of Atlanta. It is just what I need when I am trying to push the limits and get my miles in.

Love this bottle
These are the best bottles on the market. They are way easier to handle and more durable than a camelbak podium, way easier to clean, and the dust cap they sell is much easier to use while riding.

Awesome bottle but slippery
Love the Hydrapak/Polar bottles, best in the game. I like to use the insulated bottles in the cold weather but with gloves on they are a little slippery and can be challenging to get liquid out. I took some sandpaper to them and it helped a bunch!

NoThanks
Too hard, & low flow. Also popped out of my cage several times.
