Why We Like The Hoka Anacapa Breeze Mid Hiking Shoe
Building upon the success of the original, the new Anacapa Breeze Mid brings more ventilation and a more eco-friendly construction to Hoka's signature day hiking boot. This lightweight hiker now features highly ventilated mesh uppers for a more comfortable microclimate when hiking in the heat—along with Hoka's super-cushy midsoles for balanced cushioning and comfort on the trail. Soft nubuck leather adds some durability and protection while the shoe is mostly made with rPET derived from recycled bottles to reduce waste and consumption of virgin petroleum. It's a comfortable pick for deserts and hot weather hikes where we want a little "breeze" to keep our feet from overheating as we charge up switchbacks or hike fast and light on our favorite, after-work trails.

The reviews for these hiking boots are mixed. Many customers praise the comfort, support, and lightweight design, describing them as very comfortable and supportive. However, some customers have experienced issues with the fit, including a narrow toe box and ankle support that is too wide, leading to foot pain or discomfort. A few customers also reported quality problems, with the boots breaking or squeaking after limited use. Overall, the boots seem to work well for some customers, but may not be the best fit for everyone, especially those with wider feet or who need more support.
