BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE! I bought a pair of these in Dec ‘24. Was a huge splurge for me, but with perpetually cold hands, I decided to go for it. Loved them at first because my fingers were finally warm while skiing. But they stopped working in March ‘25 (3 months of use!) through no fault of mine. I contacted Backcountry and they said that it fell under their warranty policy, but they didn’t have my size in stock, so all they could offer me was store credit. Couldn’t guarantee that they’ll stock the mittens later or that they’ll be the same price as the credit they gave me. I offered many alternate solutions like waiting until they restocked the mittens for my replacement. Or taking the heated gloves instead (which were in stock). But the only option they’ll offer is store credit. So now I have dud gloves and an enormous store credit that’s useless to me because I can’t replace my gloves. Shame on Backcountry for being so rigid with their warranty policy. DON’T BUY THESE GLOVES UNLESS YOU LIKE THROWING MONEY IN THE TOILET!!!
