Your near perfect travel companion

I’ve had this little duffle for nearly 3 years now and had the privilege of taking it on many trips from domestic to international. It’s seen London, Canada, Turkey, Greece, Japan and many other places is holding up well. The good: This bag is magic and can fit so much inside. I absolutely love that this bag doesn’t have any Velcro whatsoever. It’s fitted with zippers, some elastic and buckles but absolutely no garbage Velcro. The quality really adds to the user experience. If you’re a person who needs organization this bag is definitely for you. There’s a compartment for everything. And it’s easy to find everything. This really comes in handy when TSA wants to look through your bag because they can clearly see everything and nothing will fall out if it’s all zipped. The strap comes off so if you are putting it under the seat on an airplane nothing will get in your way and from my experience flying it has fit under the seat even after I over fill it (I do every time) Possible improvements to make this a five star premium bag: I really wish this came in a cordura version. The fabric on this one has held up and I do take good care of my bags but I crave that premium feel of cordura fabric. This one definitely feels cheaper than cordura. The luggage pass through/trolly strap was the reason I bought this bag and although I can get it on my luggage it’s always, always a struggle. It’s the main frustration I have with this bag. The trolly strap absolutely needs to be a bit bigger to accommodate sliding onto luggage with ease instead of being a point of frustration with each use. I adore Herschel but I wish their bags were equipped with better zippers. Quality bags deserve zippers to match and this one misses the mark when it comes to buttery smooth zippers. I think zipper pull tabs would also help where applicable. The laptop compartment zipper tends to get stuck on the internal structure reinforcement. It’s not horrible but it’s enough to be annoying. With all that being said this bag is a solid choice for anyone looking to purchase. It’s a good one!

Perfect for everyday work bag. Haven't traveled with it yet, but it looks and feels great for it!

Nice Bag

The Bowen duffle is a nice bag with decent storage. In my opinion, the bag could be slight bigger to accommodate a few extra clothes and accessories.

Personal item sized for strict airlines

I've been doing more long weekend trips and like to book the budget airlines for those. I wanted a nice bag with all the bells and whistles but still complied with the Personal Item restrictions. This one is perfect, packs like my regular travel bag, open clamshell. Each side acts like a big packing cube so those become optional for me (I still usually do 1-2 small ones in one side). I still never know what people do with all the flat pockets, what do you possibly fit in there?? The only addition that would have been nice is an option for converting to a backpack, but carrying it like a duffel isn't terrible. The shoulder strap is so cushioned it makes it comfy.

Not confortable to carry

I bought the product during a business trip to NYC. Unfortunately, the bag is not as confortable as it was told. Now, living abroad, I won’t be able to exchange, therefore, I have a expansive product that won’t be uses.

Almost perfect carry on bag! Only thing missing is a water bottle holder.

Fabric is too thick, heavy

I like the structure and design of this carry on bag, but dislike the fabric weight and density. I would like a somewhat lighter weight fabric on this, as it makes the empty bag heavier than it should be.

Duffle

Plenty of room for a weekend trip and goes great with smaller roller bag.

Amazing duffel bag!

I’m a flight attendant for a major carrier, and bought the Bowen bag to use on trips. It’s AMAZING. The amount that I can pack in is perfect, the two compartments are easily accessed with the clamshell style opening. Loads of extra pockets and storage. Such a winner!!
