Eight years and counting, the best chair

My family has three of these chairs. They’ve gone to every camping trip, every beach visit, every park picnic, and every kids sporting event for the last eight years, which is just insane. They are virtually indestructible, they are comfortable for hours on end, and they work just as well at a camp fire as they do at the beach. We previously tried one of the taller Sunset Chairs, but the lower Beach Chair is much better for us. And since Helinox sells replacement parts, we’ve been able to affordably replace chair fabric that was damaged from errant coals. I don’t know anyone whose camp chairs have lasted through as many events and still been super lightweight and super compact the entire time. We love our chairs.

Think sitting in a reclining position and your butt a few inches above the sand and then you need to get up. So your legs extend out in front so you need to put your heels up against the chair and rock and pull forward simultaneously. That’s this chair: My one big question is why would they use steel rivets when the entire point of a “beach chair” is to resist salt water rusting. Who are the genius product engineers that missed the one singular, crucial design use case: “How to make an indestructible beach chair”. And replaced it with: “How to make the most awkward chair to get out of”. Well done PE’s! Well done”
