Why We Like The Grundens Boundary Stockingfoot Wader

GORE-TEX Pro provides pro-level waterproofing, which is why we like the new Grundens Boundary Stockingfoot wader. It features body-mapped weather protection with a 4-layer GORE-TEX laminate in the lower body for abrasion resistance and 3-layer in the upper body for better breathability. The neoprene stockingfeet slip inside our wading boots to warm our feet in cold water with gravel guards stretch over our boots to keep out the sticks and stones that would hurt us if they got inside. These are premium waders with the waterproofing and breathability that hold up to the toughest environments that guides and anglers might face.

Here's what customers have to say

The reviews on these waders are mixed. Some customers praise the high quality, comfort, and durability, while others report issues with leaks, poor fit, and premature wear. Many are impressed with the breathability, warmth, and overall construction, but some have problems with the zipper, booties, and fit. The consensus is that these are generally good waders, but the sizing and long-term durability may be inconsistent. Customers recommend carefully following the sizing guide and being prepared to exchange or return the waders if they do not fit properly.

Order boot size up

I wear a size 10.5 shoe. The neoprene bootie was way too tight. I reordered the 12-13, and it was much better. Nice waders overall.

Okay waders

Despite the “double weave” gravel guards, pebbles large enough to do damage to the stocking feet have/will work their way in. There definitely still needs to be a boot hook. Hopefully these waders last but I am very doubtful. Everything else about them is quality.

Very mixed thoughts on these!

I’ve had these for about 3 months and have put about 60-80 hours on these waders. I’ve used these from hiking miles up and down small creeks to pushing through thick brush. They have held up incredibly well with no leaks or punctures all while providing phenomenal all-day/hiking comfort. My only hold up on these was a recent issue on the front chest pocket. As I grabbed to zip open the pocket, the zipper literally fell off with zero effort. As I said I’ve loved these waders but didn’t expect to have issues with the small things on these. If there was an internal zippered pocket I wouldn’t be bothered but I don’t have any other safe storage for my keys, wallet, and phone. I would recommend these waders to anyone but hope they can fix this as I’ve heard of a few people having this issue.

Great product so far!

Great waders thus far. Only have a couple fishing trips with them so far but they are comfortable and dry! Suspenders are very comfortable.

First Waders - New Angler - Happy Fishing

I am new to fly fishing and got these waders to build out my kit. I haven't tried other waders but these things are a thing of beauty. I have used GTX for snow-sports so I trust the material choices. After several trips with walking multiple miles in the river, along slick & rocky banks, and through thorny bushes and have had no issue on comfort or durability. They stay dry through multiple hours submerged. I am not sweating from the approach or exit hikes. I feel like I'm wearing regular pants I sometimes have to double-check I'm suited up before I walk into the water. They dry out quickly in my garage but I do adjust the gravel guards after a few hours to help the booties dry off quicker. Others have asked about the harness straps and I've never had any concerns where they claim to become uncomfortable after extended use. The wide harness straps are super comfortable and the adjustments make it fit well with any level of layering I use. I also think they look great compared to some other designs. I sized down so that it wasn't too baggy... this is the only concern I had was excess bulkiness, not an issue so far even if the layering makes this a little more snug.
