Why We Like The Gregory Maya 20L Daypack
The Maya 20L Daypack is essential for longer hikes where easy access to water, extra layers, and snacks is essential. Gregory's hike-focused tech keeps us comfortable while we're on the move: the flexible BioSync suspension matches our body movements to decrease hot spots, and the contoured back panel features channels that enhance airflow to keep us cool and dry. This pack features a dedicated pocket for a hydration sleeve, leaving plenty of space in the main compartment for a rain jacket, a camera, and a light lunch.

Great commuter bag and short hikes
I am a 5'2" 140lb woman in 40's with a short torso (14-15") and skeletal arthritis issue. It is really annoying that almost all commuter packs in the market are too long for short women. Most "women" commuter packs are made overly fashionable but no ergonomics in their mind; they don't distribute the weight evenly and give me back pain. I needed a pack to cary my 13 inch Macbook Air, it's accessories, gym clothes (just shorts and sport bra), and small lunch, without aggravating my lower back pain. This pack was the only one that passed my test. I know Gregory won't recommend using the hydration compartment for a laptop, but it fits !!...not padded so need to be careful though. I really wish backpack companies come up with more varieties for light ergonomic commuter backbags for short women. We carry so much around. We can find lightweight outdoor gears but not daily gadgets and I really needed this too work. Thank you, Gregory ! (I almost forgot...yes, it's also great for a short hike.)

New Gregory Daypack
I tried my new Maya 20 backpack last weekend for a 3-hour hike in preparation for an upcoming trip to the Dolomites. Even climbing boulders the pack was comfortable. It is easily adjustable to keep the weight off the lower back.

Best most comfy backpack I have ever owned
First backpack I have ever had that I would classify as comfortable. Wore all day today at Zion. Had it loaded with water snacks, hiking poles and hiking xtra jacket fit everything with room to spare

Great small daypack!
I got this smaller daypack specifically for the 20 mile Mammoth March and will definitely use it for many more day hikes!

No variety for plus sizes
I love this pack but I’d love it even more if it came in 25 plus. Unfortunately, the options for plus sizes are just the 20 in red.

Great product, wrong size for me
This backpack impressed me; it has almost every feature I'm looking for and feels high quality. Hip and chest straps, the pockets on the hip straps were nice, but a little awkward to access. I love the stuff pocket with a clip. It's easy to access but feels secure. Good side pockets for things like water bottles, but also has the ability to hold a water reservoir. The interior is spacious and the small pockets are useful. Ultimately, I chose to return the backpack. I decided it's a little small for my needs. Most importantly, the frame was too high for me and touched the back of my head, even once adjusted. Good sturdy back support, maybe just doesn't work for my shape and size. Otherwise, I recommend!

Comfortable and sturdy
Comfortable and sturdy. Exterior pockets are easy to use and interior compartments secure. Love the red color, too. Easily adjustable for height and girth. Great size for a longer days hiking.

Maya20
So far I love my Maya20! I have had it almost 2 months and so far I have taken it to hike Mt LeConte in the Smokey Mtns and completed my first 20 mile Mammoth March with it! I love the compartments at my waist and the pack is very comfortable. I’m pretty happy with my purchase

The Gregory site shows that the hip/waist measurement for the Maya 20 (Gregory x Unlikely Hikers) pack is 27-45"; however, REI has this measurement at 41-60". Which is correct?
