Why We Like The Index S2 Smart Scale

Whether you're training for a tri, making a commitment to getting healthy, or just working on getting ready for summer, Garmin's Index Smart Scale makes sticking to your plan a whole lot easier. It does all the classic scale things: weighing in pounds, kilograms, and even stone. It also tracks body mass index, body fat percentage, bone mass, and skeletal muscle mass, all of which are important data points for high-level athletes. The Index can recognize and remember up to 16 different users, and of course it can sync to Garmin Connect, the online platform that lets you track and analyze all your workout data, so you can see exactly how your workouts correspond to your goals.

Customer Images

Here's what customers have to say

The smart scale provides a range of health metrics beyond just weight, including body composition data. While many users praised its design and integration with the companion app, some found the body composition readings to be inaccurate. There were also reports of connectivity problems and issues with the touch-sensitive controls. Overall, the scale received mixed reviews, with its performance and reliability preventing it from being a universal recommendation, though those invested in the brand's ecosystem may still find it a valuable addition.

it doesn't work!

It won't connect through wifi or bluetooth. I've chatted online with their reps three times and it just doesn't work. My new Fitbit Aria scale works like a charm.

Good scale could be great

At times it takes a bit for it to come on. This is what is holding it back from being a great scale. Reliable weight data is given and it is easy to track with the app.

A Pleasure to Weigh In …

Only a month or so in and couldn’t be happier. Calibrated it with my BMI from my last doctor appointment and it’s been smooth sailing since. Syncs perfectly with my Garmin Venu 3S. I love all the features and they help me to stay in even more control of my weight and exercise journey. And it’s purdy and sleek looking too.

Not remotely accurate

I bought this to compare with a DEXA scan, which read my body fat as 15.7%. The Garmin read 26%.

Works well with Garmin app and Garmin 965

I bought this a few weeks ago. I like it. It sinks well with Garmin App. It’s a little hard to wake up in the morning. I was hoping it would tell me how much fluid I lost after a run, but that category isn’t there. Otherwise, I like it and it seems accurate.
