Adventure-ready fēnix 8 Pro AMOLED Sport Watch with mapping, LTE, and epic battery

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I’ve been training and traveling with this watch—battery life is wild, maps are super clear on the AMOLED screen, and multi-band GPS nails tracks in canyons and trees. LTE and inReach let me leave the phone behind but still stay reachable, and the sapphire lens plus titanium bezel shrug off abuse."

We reach for the fēnix 8 Pro AMOLED Sport Watch when the plan goes from city miles to alpine miles and back again. It handles workouts, travel, and big missions with bright mapping, reliable tracking, and phone-free connectivity so we can focus on the route instead of our gear.

Under the hood, a sapphire lens and titanium bezel protect a crisp AMOLED display, while multi-band GPS with SatIQ optimizes accuracy and battery life. LTE and inReach enable voice/text, LiveTrack, and SOS (subscriptions required), and the LED flashlight, 10 ATM water rating, and depth sensor expand its range. Long smartwatch endurance keeps it going between charges.

Customer Images

Here's what customers have to say

The multisport watch offers excellent performance and insights for fitness and health tracking, with cutting-edge features, a rugged design, and unmatched connectivity. Users praise its impressive health algorithm, training guidance, and wide range of activity tracking options, which provide clear wellness insights and help improve performance across various sports. However, the LTE connectivity and messaging/calling features are reported to be buggy and unreliable, and the battery life can be inconsistent, especially when using the LTE features. Overall, the watch is best suited for those who prioritize comprehensive health and activity tracking, despite occasional technical issues.

Awesome watch

bought this to replace my Fenix 7x pro that I lost. So far I have loved the upgrade. I love the new features that have been added to the 8 pro.

Blown Away

I cannot believe everything that is packed into this thing!!! Insane battery life, indestructible, InReach SOS, satellite messaging, LTE, voice calls, WUT??? Gorgeous, lightweight, supercomputer! While not a hardcore ultrarunner, I have finished a few here an there over the years. I started with a competitor brand (for 3 iterations of hardware), and while the core features were solid, innovation seemed to stagnate. I jumped ship and since then have had 3 versions of Garmin hardware. This latest watch has exceeded my expectations and pushed the boundaries of what I even thought was possible - even myself working in product development in IOT and tech. I love this watch!!!

Super Watch

This is my second Fenix watch and the new Fenix 8 Pro Sapphire is beyond amazing. The AMOLED watch face is a game changer, and my data can be displayed clearly and easy to read. My previous Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire was an excellent watch however it the new Fenix 8 is far superior. The new EKG function and In Reach capabilities are a must have and gives me the peace of mind while out hiking or any location where cellular reception is limited or unavailable. I have a Garmon 750 Montana and could use my In Reach function but with my new Fenix 8 Pro Sapphire I do not have to rely on my Montana for InReach in the event of an emergency. I strongly recommend the new Fenix 8 Pro Sapphire for anyone looking for a superior watch with InReach and EKG function. This new watch has tons of options and features which other watches on the market cannot begin to match.

Overall great with some desired features missing.

I upgraded from he Forerunnert 945 LTE. I wanted both for the emergency services (heart condition) and the Fenix adds satellite. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, it does not have automatic incident detection like the Forerunner did. It's also larger than I would have liked. The touch screen is nice, and the features/activities list is seemingly endless.

great watch

I bought this watch a few months ago. No issues, love the look and feel. Nothing negative to report about the watch but not a huge fan of the golf app. This is one thing that Apple watch was better at with the golf apps.

Still learning but love my Garmin!

I'm a long & loyal Garmin fan with many of their devices so tend to cut them slack. However, I very much enjoy my new 51mm fenix 8 Pro and learn a few more capabilities every day. I now wear the fenix all night and was a little concerned the 51mm would be too large and disruptive while I slept. Definitely not the case and I don't even feel it. The sleep feedback has been interesting and informative so look forward to comparing results over time. The available watch faces are very nice.

Amazing watch, but stubborn buttons

I bought this and another Garmin watch to figure out which I would keep. I liked this one better, but the buttons were so finicky- many times I would have to push down 2-3x in order for the buttons to work because they were too “squishy” and non-responsive. I was sad I had to return it even though it was the better watch, I just knew the buttons were going to drive me crazy trying to press them multiple times to get them to work.

Excellent Design

I upgraded from a Fenix 6. This watch is a huge improvement. The menu structure is vastly improved. It is now easy to find the right app, feature etc. The 6 did not have a very intuitive structure. The display is much better too. I am more than willing to give up a little battery life for the higher resolution and clarity. The touch screen works great too. That also makes it easier to find things.

So far, so good

I got this a few weeks back and while the display is crisp and battery life has been great, there are a few app idiosyncrasies that I do not like. For one, the golf function doesn’t show when to add putting and leaves more to be desired as no prompt to enter club via vibration. Other than that, it has been a great watch.

Nice upgrade from the fenix 5

I’ve had for a month and a half now and so far so good The only draw back is that sometimes I can shut the phones alarm off and sometimes it doesn’t The keep doing updates which it means they are still working on bugs
