Why We Like The Garmin fenix 8 AMOLED Sapphire Sport Watch
Whatever plateau we're breaking through, Garmin's fenix 8 AMOLED Sapphire Sport Watch is tracking and driving our every step. The bomber, submersible construction meets the moxie required for rugged terrain and technical pursuits, while the heart rate, ECG, and blood oxygen saturation metrics clue us in to how our body is handling the demands. With 145 hours of juice in max battery GPS mode, this watch outlasts the sun time and time again, while the built-in LED flashlight comes to save the day when our headlamp flickers out. However deep into the backcountry we go, the SatIQ tech keeps our position locked in without draining the battery.

Quality product overall
I was replacing a 6 yeaors ol Forerunner and I cannot be more happy. This is one of the best watches I have owned and so far has been a good companion for my tennis and swimming journey.

Great All around Watch
I’ve been using Garmin Fenix since version 6 and honestly the capabilities keep getting better with each revision. Definitely a must have for any outdoor/fitness enthusiasts. Downsides: cost, Garmin knows they have a winner so the cost keeps going with each release. Eventually this platform will be phase itself out because the average consumer won’t be able to afford them. Unreliable software releases. To Garmins credit they maintain the current watch release software exceptionally well. However, their support for previous versions is none existent.

Fenix 8
I bought this watch with way too many features on it that I wasn’t going to use for the sole purpose of growing in to it. Also wanted a product that would continue to receive updates from Garmin on the latest platform. So far, it has exceeded all of my expectations.

Wish I would have known about the Fenix 8 Pro
I bought this less than a month ago and just found out about the Fenix 8 pro. I wish I would have waited.

It’s okay
I am not really sure what the hype is. Constantly having connectivity issues; doesn’t upload the activity anywhere else, like my activity in Apple Health—regardless of the permissions being there; maps randomly disappear; notifications via “smart notifications”…not smart yet, they will randomly just not give the notification and it lasts for days. For a watch that is more expensive than my rent, I expect at least the “exercise watch with smart capabilities” to be semi true. Overall, the comfortability is the best part. This is a Segway watch into the MK3i for diving, just to get used to a Garmin, but I am unsure if that would be worth the money anymore.

Forget the ladies?
I purchased this watch a week before the Phoenix eight pro came out and this is really an indictment on Garmin and them not knowing their market. It’s ridiculous for Garmin to not have LTE on the ladies sized fenix 8 pro. Come on. Additionally if you’re gonna force ladies into wearing a watch that looks foolish on their wrist, perhaps put it in a color that’s not black.

Outdated software and way overpriced
I really want to like Garmin and am no fan of Apple but you guys are going to have a smaller market like Polar because you are not competitive with Apple.

Exactly what I’ve been looking for
Was an Apple Watch user since Series 1, but was really looking for a health device and the Apple Watch is just makes you buy lots of apps with monthly subscriptions and even then, doesn’t get lose to Garmin. Only reason it’s not 5 star is the lack of LTE/Satellite for emergency
