We built our backcountry laps around the NS SC i30 because it blends efficiency with real-world durability. The full-carbon, hookless clincher rim pairs a 22mm depth with a generous 30mm internal width to stabilize wide trail tires, boost cornering support, and keep rolling resistance low on long approaches.

On the trail, the details deliver. Direct-pull aero spokes in a 28/28 build add strength without deadening ride feel, while a six-pawl alloy hub and six sealed cartridge bearings keep engagement crisp and spin smooth. Hand-built construction and 6-bolt rotor mounts round out a wheelset that’s equally at home chasing alpine singletrack, threading enduro lines, or putting in E-MTB training miles.
