Review Summary
Here's what customers have to say
The Vidda Pro trousers are generally well-received as high-quality, durable, and versatile outdoor pants. Many praise the sturdy fabric, useful features, and overall comfort and warmth. However, some note issues with the sizing and fit, especially for those with curvier or larger builds, as the pants can run small or tight in the waist and thighs. Customers recommend carefully considering the sizing and potentially trying different fits or sizes to find the best match.

Not Comfortable for your Thighs
I needed a durable pants for field work. So far the material seems very sturdy. However, it is very tight around the thighs.

High Waist!
I love these pants! I usually wear size 6, but I think I needed a size 4 for a better fit—still a bit loose on the weights. However, they perform exceptionally well when hiking, offering durability and comfort on the trail. Overall, great quality and reliable for outdoor adventures.

very nice
Really nice fit and quality. Lots of pockets and I love that there's a knife pocket and an axe loop. The adjustable ankle cuffs are great. My only issue with it is that G-1000 contains polyester, but atleast it's recycled.

Good quality but small fitting
Definitely size up! I bought a 6L and struggled to pull them up I had to exchange for an 8L. Other than that they are great trousers

Get what you pay for
I own a pair already, had them for years. Decided to buy a pair for my partner, who wasn’t that bothered about expensive clothing for rambling with the dog……. She absolutely loves them.. perfect sizing, fit and form exactly the same as mine from years ago (except they are for women!). Trying to keep her away from the website now…..!

Make a new style instead of changing the fit?
I am giving 3 stars and hoping Fjallraven reads consistent reviews saying the same thing because I too am so bummed my favorite trouser does not exist anymore. I never thought I would spend so much on trousers but when I first found the Keb style they were on sale, seemed to fit good, and I liked all the features so I gave it a go! They quickly became my favorite pair and I wanted more at any cost. I was happy to pay full price. I decided to try on the different fits and landed on the Vidda pro. Hands down my favorite fit, most comfortable, most durable trouser I have ever owned. It's been a couple years now so I finally decided it was time for another pair. Unfortunately, the "improved fit" has taken them from being my favorite trouser, to a trouser I will likely never buy again. I started at 5 stars because I loved my Vidda pros so much, I recommended them to everyone. I took off a star because sizing no longer makes sense. The size I used to wear that was perfect is now WAY too small, and the next size up is too big. I took another star off because the fit has totally changed, which was my favorite part about the old trouser. I wish fjallraven would have made a new fit instead of altering this one. Especially the extra tapered leg down to the boot. I would buy again if they went back to the old fit. But now I can't find any fjallraven trouser with a more boot cut fit. They are all incredibly skinny and hug too tight. I'm bummed! I only own a few pairs of the old fit, I would have stocked up if I knew they were going to completely change it. If you ever bring the old fit back I'll buy more! Until then... signing off.

The Perfect Pants
I call these my Pants, capital P. I have zero notes, they’re perfect. Huge pockets, reinforced knees, waist hits at my actual waist, did I mention multiple huge pockets? I will wear these forever.

Bummed about poor fit
- Size Bought:
- 8 & 10
- Height:
- 5' 5"
I was initially very excited to receive these pants, as the material quality is really fantastic and looks ready for hard-core use. But after trying two sizes, they just don't fit. I would have thought that for such rugged-ready pants they would expect to make room for a little more musculature around the upper legs and thighs, but it's completely tight and pinching. No way I can use these while climbing over logs off-trail. I even have narrow hips, so this was a bit shocking.

Smallest size is still a bit roomy
I ordered these because I was looking for a pair of autumn-winter weight, significantly water resistant hiking trousers that would fit my 5 foot 3 inch 100 lb frame. These are very roomy but the waist band is small enough to keep them from falling down. So, I decided to keep them. They are warm and they kept me completely dry through hours of hiking in light-to-moderate rain. Also, they don't make an annoying whispering noise as you walk.

great for cool weather or off trail traverse
I have 2 older style fit trousers (I still love them and they are holding up well) but I love the new improvements. The new style actually flatters ones bum. The older styles didn't really do much for the rear view, but Fjall is correct (improved fit ) is an understatement. Great quality, and now an even better fit. The fit guide is spot on. Don't skip the measurement part (and don;t be afraid when you are a bigger size than you are used to, the fit guide is accurate). This is my 4th pair of Fjallraven trousers (all different styles) and I love them. This is the thickest pair I have and great for fall/winter or off trail to prevent scratches.
