Great deep winter parka
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Bought it for my partner after we got back from Iceland. We both do a lot of camping and hiking through all seasons all over but because back home we are in the agriculture/forestry fields we often find ourselves on trips wearing our work clothes. While canvas jackets and leather boots have always worked fine for us I felt it was time for us to upgrade and start getting more technical and advanced clothing for our trips, especially when we live and spend most of our trips pretty far north on the globe. I always loved all of Fjallraven's stuff and the things I have of theirs have lasted me years under a lot of hard abuse both on the farm doing mechanic work and in the Backcountry roughing it. This Parka seemed like a great winter coat for her as she gets a bit chillier than idea. The fit was nice for her, left a little room for layering. I see peoples complaints with the Nuuk parkas zipper, it definitely needs two hands to get it going secure but it's really sturdy when zipped up it seems. I don't think either of us seem to over bothered that you may have to take your gloves off to zip it up, because frankly, if your jacket is unzipped its probably not so deadly cold your gloves need to come off for a second!

Excellent jacket with only a few minor complaints
Warmth: easily one of the warmest jackets I ever owned. I even have an expensive down jacket, but this one is better because it’s water and rain proof. I tested it out in 0 to -10 C weather in the rain and wind, and all I really needed was a T-shirt underneath. Fit: Quite large. I’m normally a size XS, but it was a bit too roomy for me. My mom is a size M, and she says my jacket is the perfect size for her. Complaints: The hood with the fur trim covered my eyes and made it hard to see. I had to remove it if I ever wanted to wear it in the rain. He zipper is also really finicky. I struggle half the time trying to get it to zip up.

LOVE this parka!

I live in a warm state, but frequent cold places. With several upcoming plans what would have me in low temps, I wanted to make an investment in a nice coat. I read tons on reviews and settled on the Nuuk. Boy did I make a good choice! This cost is so warm! And the POCKETS!🤩 There is a pocket for everything. Being warm in the cold makes all the difference! I can get out and explore and not have to go in early because I’m cold. On my snowshoe in below 30 temps, I even got hot. I am so happy with this purchase and look forward to all the adventures my Nuuk and I will see.

I'm obsessed

I didn't know what to expect from this coat. I honestly had never heard of Fjallraven. I know I know. I swear I'm usually cooler than that. I get really cold and have found coats never really keep me warm unless I'm layering. I have had a Bridge and Burn coat for about 5 years and never really loved it. So I took the plunge (It's an expensive coat) and purchased based on the reviews. I'm in love. I can't stop talking about this coat because I'm so happy with it. It fits perfectly and I'm small 5'2". The amount of pockets are insane and everything has it's place. I have worn just a t-shirt in 15 degree weather and was VERY comfortable. The hood had a wire that runs around it that gives it structure and is never floppy. I feel like every time i put on this coat I'm getting a little warm hug. I'm super happy and recommend highly.

I actually haven't tested this yet, but I am going to Fairbanks in February to see the aurora. So this is gonna be my outer layer. What I love about it is the double zipper, and the detachable fur hood. I've had Fjallraven things before, and they really seem to stand up extended use. One thing to know, is it runs pretty big. Pretty much a size too big. I could've gone with a medium, but I wanna be able to layer underneath it and the large is plenty roomy.

Absolutely thrilled about this purchase! Have been considering this jacket for a while and so thankful I did. Extremely durable fabric, thick lining, windproof and very warm even in the coldest temps.

Love this coat, but do size down!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Small
- Height:

- Weight:
- 132
I am 5'6" and weigh 132 lbs. I ordered a small instead of my usual medium and if fits perfectly with room for a heavy sweater. Seems very well made and very warm. The hand warmer pockets are a bit high and the insulation is not on the outside of the pockets which would be warmer. The length is nice and the pulls on the zipper work easily even with gloves on. The hood is large, but the fur can be pushed back or pulled forward if snow is in the air.
