Bergtagen Merino 190 Long-Sleeve Top is a breathable merino baselayer built for high-output cold days
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I wear the Bergtagen Merino 190 Long-Sleeve on ski tours and under my shell for shoulder-season hikes—it keeps me warm when I need it and never overheats when I’m moving fast."
Designed for high-output mountain missions, the Bergtagen Merino 190 Long-Sleeve is our trusted first layer for managing warmth and sweat. Crafted from 100% traceable merino wool in a lightweight jersey knit, it delivers breathable warmth that doesn’t overheat when we’re pushing hard on the skin track or scrambling above treeline.
The wool’s natural ability to wick moisture and stay warm even when damp is matched by its resistance to odors, making it perfect for multi-day outings. A slim fit, slightly extended back hem, and soft, stretchy feel complete this versatile top, keeping us comfortable and focused wherever the alpine takes us.

Swing, and a miss.
Downgraded stitching, downgraded collar. Where is the excellent stitching on the seams from the Thinwool series? Why did you abandon the superior rolled collar of the Thinwool LS? This looks like a less-well produced garment, I will leave it up to the reader as to whether this speaks to a general decline in Fjallraven quality seen in recent years.
