Vico Carbon Bottle Cage

Cracked right down the middle, beware.

Upon a pothole on a descent, this cage snapped splitting the middle of the cage. I thought either my tire popped or my wheelset cracked due to the loud pop. This was with a 21 oz Bivo bottle, not sure if the metal was too rigid for the cage to handle...this could be factor. Regardless, a new cage shouldn't snap in half down the middle like this upon the 3rd or 4th time using it. Thankfully, no one was injured and I quickly tucked my bottle behind my back to avoid any road hazards during my group ride. Leaving this review up as a FYI, YMMV.

Incompatible with Camelback Podium Bottl

Unfortunately, I broke two of these carbon fiber cages when I switched to stainless steel Camelback Podium water bottles. In both cases, the cage fractured along the centerline. This carbon version should only be used with plastic bottles that don't overstress the cage.

Nice looking, but..

My Camelbak Podium Big Chill bottles are too wide for these cages. No fault of the cages as I'm sure they're perfect for smaller bottles.
