Why We Like The Eagle Creek Gear Warrior XE 2 Wheeled Convetible Carry On
Constructed for road warriors and adventure travelers, the Eagle Creek Warrior XE 2 Wheeled Convertible Carry On gives us off-road-ready luggage that converts to a backpack for versatile carrying. High-denier fabrics fend off bumps, abrasions, and abusive baggage handlers while the impact-resistant handle and heavy-duty wheels can take on everything from the tarmac to the cobblestone streets of old city centers. When we reach stair cases and non-accessible routes, we can convert the Gear Warrior to a backpack using its zip-away straps, adjustable sternum strap, and hip belt.

Great bag - super versatile and durable

Really love this bag. Just recently took it on a 10 day trip to Ireland and it worked out great. Between the main compartment and the pockets on the inside of the lid, I was able to fit what I needed for our trip around the coast of Ireland and all the different activities. Had it packed full, but it was def enough space. The extendable feature is nice to give you more room as you pack then zip it down to compress things. I liked having the little latch to lock the zippers as well, nice security feature. I was worried about the wheels being too knobby to roll smoothly through the airports but it rolled nice and smooth. The wheels also held up great on the sidewalks and roughly paved streets. I used it mostly as a wheely bag since that was the most convenient option for me. But the last day of the trip my six year old injured his foot, so for the full day of travel back home I converted the bag to the backpack option so I could carry him with both arms. As a backpack it was a nice comfy fit, great support as if it were a quality trekking pack. The bag stowed easily as a carry-on for all of the flights, regardless if it was in wheely or backpack mode. The sinch straps were nice to get it as small as you can. The quality of the materials and construction were impressive as well. I wasn’t gentle on it during the trip and it held up very well. Definitely happy with the purchase, glad I got it in time for this trip. I would recommend this bag for sure.

Great versatile carry on
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I bought 2 of these for me and my daughter for a wandering month long trip where we didn't always have nice sidewalks to roll on. The wheels are super rugged. Everything is super sturdy. I've seen reviews that complained about the zippers being hard to move, but my 10 year old did fine on her own. Everything on these is overbuilt. It is surprisingly comfortable as a backpack. If you want a 4 wheel carry-on that rolls easy over nice smooth polished floors then this is not for you. If you want a rugged two wheel that rolls fine in the airport or in the dirt and can be worn as a backpack then this should be on your shortlist for sure. I also looked at the osprey hybrid rollers and the design was flawed in my opinion in that the telescoping handle took up way more space inside the bag. If you don't need all the space then that might not be an issue. The osprey bags were a little cheaper build quality, but I would not have worried about using them at all. As for these eagle creek bags, I highly reccomend.
