Winter District III Jacket fuses Omni-Heat Infinity warmth with waterproof protection and ski-ready features
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve skied in the Winter District III Jacket on some truly stormy days, and it’s been awesome. The Omni-Heat Infinity lining adds a ton of warmth without bulk, and all the little ski features—like the pass pocket and powder skirt—make life easier. It’s a solid choice for anyone who wants serious protection with a comfortable fit."
When the weather refuses to cooperate, the Columbia Winter District III Jacket rises to the occasion. Built for high-performance days on the mountain, this technical ski shell combines advanced waterproofing, superior warmth, and thoughtful design details that keep us moving confidently through any storm. Omni-Tech™ waterproof-breathable fabric with critical seam sealing keeps snow and wind at bay, while the Omni-Heat™ Infinity thermal-reflective lining harnesses body heat to maintain an ideal microclimate, even when the mercury plunges.
Four-way comfort stretch means unrestricted mobility as we carve, climb, or scramble for first tracks. From the helmet-compatible hood and adjustable powder skirt to the dedicated ski pass and goggle pockets, every detail has been engineered to handle big mountain days. Secure zippered pockets, thumbhole cuffs, and a droptail hem round out a jacket that feels equally at home on icy lifts and off-piste lines.

Quality issues
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Columbia quality is not what it used to be. As a long time Columbia fan this jacket leaves much to be desired. In the looks and the warmth department they they knocked it out of the park. But the fit and finish is terrible. The main zipper does not work well. The jacket has many unfinished threads hanging off of it. The hood bungees and waist bungees are extra long and bagged out. The sizing is way off. I have worn a large Columbia jacket for 25 years. I ordered a medium in this jacket and it's slightly tight in the body and very tight in the back and shoulder area. I tried on a large jacket and it's very big. It fits more like an traditional XL. It seems like there should be a size between medium and large.
