Here's what customers have to say
The product reviews for these cargo shorts are mixed. Customers appreciate the lightweight, comfortable, and quick-drying material, as well as the good fit and adjustable waistband. However, many report issues with the shallow pockets, which make it difficult to securely store items. There are also concerns about the overall quality, with some experiencing problems like rips, loose buttons, and sagging waistlines. Additionally, some note that the sizing seems to have changed, with the newer versions running smaller than previous models.

Great wicking ability
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts are confortable and they Wick moisture very well, getting dry quickly. Sweat will show at least on the lighter colors.

You can’t get any better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Silver Ridge cargo shorts have been my favorite for many years. Even though they still are, there are a few changes I wish they had not made. One is changing the left front pocket to be side opening. I will get used to it like to better the other way, straight up. interestingly, enough, they changed the material to some sort of textured one on this particular pair of shorts. Not that it’s bad, just different.

Still solid after all these years
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer

- 40"
I have about 8 pairs of these dating back to when they were called "Titanium". They're the only shorts I own besides gym shorts. Columbia gear is optimized, meaning it provides (by far) the best performance per dollar spent. Good gear without flashy prices because of the name, although the Whirlybird ski jacket I bought in 1992 was pretty flashy.

Disappointed
Well I needed to order some new shorts because of weight loss. I have owned your Sliver Ridge Cargo Shorts for years. First of all I am ok with pocket changes but as some others have mentioned has no velcro on the back pockets. Secondly I really don’t care for the 11/2” belts are to wide and to stiff! If I keep em those belts are gone. Would use a 11/4” military web belt or thinner . Lastly your sizer is way off! It told me I needed to order 38” waist. But my gut told me to order 40” instead. Man I am glad I that I did!

Needs more belt loops
I have an older version of these shorts but the design is still pretty much the same. The workmanship and design is mostly great. The material is light and good for lots of activities. Where it falls apart is the belt loops. There needs to be more of them. If you put anything in your front pockets, they sag because there isn’t a belt loop holding them up above the pocket. It’s very irritating when just putting a phone in my pocket makes the waistline fall an inch or so below the belt.

Poor workmanship
These shorts came with at least 3 rips. I have worn other shorts from Columbia for years without this issue,

Comfort, great style with pockets -
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looked around awhile to finally find these comfortable, light weight shorts with pockets that have Velcro or zippers. Can go thru the airport without having to take off my belt.
