Why We Like the Chaco Rapid Pro Toe-Loop Sandal - Women's
Built with professional river guides in mind, the Chaco Rapid Pro Toe-Loop Sandal mixes comfort with grippy outsoles for great river running performance. The LUVSEAT footbed cradles our feet for all-day support—like all Chaco sandals—but it's the Vibram MegaGrip tread that really stand out when wading on wet river rocks and negotiating steep banks when we're out of the water. This is the sandal that we're wearing for our extreme water adventures.

Z/2 Rapid Pro Adjustable Strap Classic Sandal
Right out of the box these sandals are very comfortable with excellent support and great traction.

Skimpy
These were better than other Chacos that I've tried since they changed because these had the vibram sole but the sizing has changed and they were just a tad bit shorter than my older ones, I didn't like that so I returned them. I'll get my older ones resoled. Chaco, why did you change to cheaper materials and skimpy sizing? You ruined a tried and true brand in my opinion!!

Narrow fit at the back of the sandal
I initially got these sandals, but they caused me immense pain in the back of my foot due to the narrow fit.

Best pair I’ve bought in years
Good grip for wet surfaces and slickrock. More comparable to the original sole design but without the extra weight.

The Best!
These sandals have been my go-to for 20 years! The Vibram soles are great for durability and slip resistance. The arch support works very well for me too! I've had 2 pr reChacoed!

First ever pair
This is my first ever pair of Chacos, so there was a lot of research that went into me purchasing this particular pair. Out of the box, they were/are perfect. The first thing I had to learn was how the straps work in the channel inside the sole. My biggest issue with them right now are the blisters forming as a result of how stiff the bottom of the sandal actually is. But otherwise, I’m extremely happy with them!

Toe loop was disappointing
The toe loop was causing a serious foot cramp as I was putting on the shoe, no matter how I adjusted it. I ended up adjusting the sandal so the toe loop isn't in use, which has been working except now there is a lot of extra slack in the harness system. I've still been wearing them and enjoying them!

Well built shoe.
Well built shoe. I wear a normal width shoe, but will have to order a wide next time as the straps don't extend very far. When they are wet, the inside strap rubs your ankle raw. Otherwise a perfect shoe. I will be ordering more, just in a wide size.

Rapid Pro
Love these! This is my third pair of Chacos and I love this pair just as much as the others. I can really tell the difference in the tread and feel super secure out in the water.

Worth the extra money
I’ve been wearing Chacos for 20 years and am a former river guide. I’ve been super disappointed in Chacos gradual drop in quality over the years, and almost gave up on them after having pairs wear out in a few summers of normal, non-guiding use. Last summer I bought a new pair of Z/Cloud 2s to replace ones where the soles had come unglued, and the new pair gave me terrible blisters— a Chaco first for me! I got the Rapid Pro Vibrams as last resort before giving up on Chacos, and am super pleased to find that they remind me of the Chacos I used to buy years ago (that all came with a Vibram sole). No break in period, no blisters, no problems. I haven’t taken them on the river yet, but I’m hopeful they’ll perform well. I’m happy to pay more for better quality shoes, and I hope this style sticks around!
