Not compatible with all bottle cages.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I have two major complaints and one minor of this bottle. I have ridden twice with this bottle on my gravel bike. First major complaint is the lack of security in standard bottle cages. One bunny hop over some road trash and the bottle went flying out onto the asphalt. Also on a single tack dip in the hills, just the transition on the dip in the trail alone caused the bottle to fly out. My assessment is that the metal bottle is ridged and maybe a smaller diameter causing it fit looser in the bottle gage. Never the less, the ease of which the bottle falls out is disappointing. Second Major issue is the leakage. Even with the valve closed, I would get drops of water hitting my legs. My minor complaint is that don't think the insulation is that good. I am comparing it to my Fellow travel coffee mug, which may not be a fair comparison as this is a bidon, not a coffee mug.
