Here's what customers have to say
The reviewed shoes provide excellent cushioning and comfort, with many customers describing them as feeling like "walking on clouds" or "marshmallows". The shoes offer good support and responsiveness, and are reported to be comfortable for long distances and daily wear, with a roomy toe box and arch support. Some users noted the shoes helped alleviate foot and leg pain. However, the redesigned heel collar may cause rubbing for some, and the color options are limited compared to previous models. Overall, the shoes are widely regarded as a high-quality option that delivers a premium running and walking experience.

I used to be a Brooks wearer. Haven’t had a pair for a few years. Bought these and they were really uncomfortable. Squeezed my toes. I will say, I may be at the age where my feet are changing, and it’s possible I need a shoe with a wider toe box.

Heel/Back of Shoe has changed
Unfortunately, they changed the back/heel part of the shoe from the 21 and it does not hug like it used to, I am coming out of it as I am walking. I am so disappointed in this design change, I have been wearing Brooks for so many years. I have flat feet, wide width, and wear orthotics and this was the only shoe that worked for me. I tried another brand but it is not as good as the 21's. Hoping they make a design change for the 23 and go back to the original design.

Laces too short, cushion at heel doesn’t let my foot sit properly. When laced to compensate— it’s too tight.
To be fair I bought the lilac special addition. I don’t know if the other 22 are the same or not. I unfortunately threw out the box so I don’t think I can return. There is so much cushion my heel doesn’t stay seated. To lace properly, to hug heel - the laces are too short to tie a bow, and the ends of the laces are so large I had a difficult time getting them into that last upper hole. I NEVER toss my box — why I did this time 😢 🤷 but I did find two boxes from my 21s. I’ve worn brooks for about 5 years, I buy 6 or more pairs a year. This new version is not my shoe.

Good cushion but hot and slightly small
The cushion is nice, but my feet get so hot. I’ve never had this happen before and if you have heat sensitive feet I would probably steer clear of these, at least in the summer. Also, they seem slightly small. I wear a 6.5 in regular dress and tennis shoes, bought these and all my running shoes in a 7, and really wished I had sized up to 7.5. Again, the cushion is nice but a couple things keep them from being 5 star for me.

Very comfortable. Love how they feel! Wish they had more colors. I love some of the men’s colors and wish they were in the women’s size.

I finally found shoes that work for me! I am a woman with very wide feet and these shoes are so comfortable and available in the 2E (extra wide) size. THANK YOU!

Runs small
Runs very small/narrow compared to the 21. Originally got my normal size and had to return for the next size up. Unfortunately this size is too big and my feet slip when running or I have to tie them too tight and they are uncomfortable. Please bring back the old version without the extra heel cushion which I think affects the fit of this shoe.

This is the first pair of Brooks shoes that I have returned. The new design with the high heel tab made it feel like they were constantly slipping off my feet.

They are just ok. Like the model 19 and 20 better... toe on the 22 is longer. They work, but not my fav.

Great for being on my feet all day
My running days are over, but I used Brooks’ fit guide to select a good shoe for working on my feet all day. I’ve been using the Glycerin 22 for about a month and it’s been working great for me.
