Glycerin 22 Wide Running Shoe delivers ultra-soft nitrogen-infused cushion and a roomy, stable fit
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"This shoe is my go-to for long, easy miles. The nitrogen-infused midsole really smooths out the ride—it’s super soft in the heel but still gives me a springy toe-off. And the wide fit is a lifesaver when I’m putting in serious volume."
The Brooks Glycerin 22 Wide Running Shoe lets us stack miles in luxurious comfort, thanks to a DNA LOFT v3 midsole that’s nitrogen-infused for a plush yet responsive ride. Tuned cushioning delivers soft landings in the heel and snappy takeoffs in the forefoot, making this shoe a natural pick for long training runs and recovery days alike.
The wide fit provides a bit more space where we need it most—perfect for broader feet or those looking for a more accommodating toe box. Finished with a smooth-transitioning rocker shape and a breathable mesh upper made with 61% recycled content, the Glycerin 22 Wide is built to feel effortless from start to finish.

Customer Images
Here's what customers have to say
The shoes are praised for their exceptional comfort, cushioning, and overall quality. The plush yet responsive midsole foam provides excellent impact absorption, and the breathable mesh uppers, roomy toe boxes, and sleek design are also noted positives. However, some customers have experienced issues with the fit and feel, reporting less support and cushioning compared to previous versions. While the majority are very satisfied, a small subset have had concerns with the updated design.

My favorite shoe.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Favorite shoe, even better than the 21, like the heel pull. Still great cushiness and fit.

Poor fit--even the wide model was too narrow for my forefoot. While I am at it, I'll say that the new version of the Beast is nothing like its excellent predecessor; the fit is totally different and it is much heavier. If the Beast model of a couple of years ago were to return, I would gladly buy a pair or several.

Great cushion and comfort
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great cushion. I have a hip that will eventually need replaced and walking in these is noticeably more comfortable and easier on it than in other shoes that I own.

I've been testing out this shoe for two weeks. Short runs, long runs, and in the gym. So far, it is exceeding expectations. No knee, hip or foot soreness. I will be running stairs tomorrow. I'll see what happens. If all continues to go well the next couple of weeks, I will order another pair for training for a half marathon in February.

Comfortable shoes in 4E
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I Love this shoe. It feels amazing, and it's hard to find shoes for me because i require a 4E in width. I really need the loop in the back to get my shoes on, and this is the first one i've noticed from Brooks in a 4E. I would love to see this shoe available in other colors, or put the pull loop on other Brooks that are available in the 4E widths. Thank You.

One of the most comfortable shoes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are very comfortable. I work in healthcare and I am on my feet a lot. These are so much better and I have barely and or no pain at the end of the day. Great cushioning. Fits well and I would buy another pair.

Glycerin 22 AMAZING
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is now my third pair of Glycerin 22’s. Before I probably had 10 plus pairs of Ghost. The Glycerin, for me, are superior due to comfort on my foot bed. I walk/run 5 plus miles a day, couldn’t live without these!

Toe box creases
Comfortable shoes but still have not fixed the toe box issue from 21 model. Toe box still creases and rubs on toe.

Love this shoe (like always)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Always a good call for people who overpronate and need stability when running!

Love this shoe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love everything about these shoes; love the design, love the color, love the fit but I haven’t gone outside in them as yet. I’m saving them because they’re new and I’m using my old ones till they are completely worn out. I know they’ll feel great on the road. There’s only one problem, I am a woman and this style was only in men’s. Please make this style available to women too. BTW, the men’s fit great.
