Why We Like The Brooks Ghost 16 GTX Running Shoe

When running in the Brooks Ghost 16 GTX Running Shoe, we get lost in the flow within our first stride. The DNA LOFT v3 midsole foam is infused with nitrogen to reduce weight, deliver the softest strikes, and propel us into our most powerful toe offs yet. With a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit liner on our side, rain showers fail to slow us down, while the Segmented Crash Pad has us transitioning from heel to toe so smoothly, we feel as if we're levitating.

Here's what customers have to say

This running shoe offers good water resistance and comfort, with many praising its cushioning, breathability, and stability. However, some found the toe box to be narrow or tight, and a few experienced issues with the waterproofing not lasting. Overall, it is a well-liked shoe, especially for wet weather, though the fit may not work for everyone.

Loved this one, I considered getting it again, but I tried a different color instead. It is still an amazing shoe.

I was prepared to love these as I have all of my other generations of Brooks Ghost shoes, but the toe box was narrow and the fit was super tight. I thought they would stretch with time and wear, but instead I ended up with a stress fracture in my foot. A disappointing and painful experience all around.

Brooks Ghost 16 GTX (Turquoise/Pink)

Incredible comfort meets standout style. The Ghost 16 GTX offers a smooth, cushioned ride that makes every run feel effortless. It fits like a glove - secure yet breathable, with just the right support for everyday miles. The turquoise and pink colorway is a total win - bright, fun and full of energy. If you're looking for a reliable, feel-good shoe that looks as great as it feels, this one’s a no-brainer.

They are made too short I always wear a 71/2 My toe is almost on the very end All the sneakers I’ve bought this year have been the same. With exception of the Glycerin stealth fit. They were accurate sizing it’s very disappointing!. Glycerin 20 was the best.! Too bad you stopped making them Whoever is making your sneakers is making them too short.

Alright shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are alright. I like my Hoka shoes way better. What I do like about Brooks Ghost 16 GTX are water resistant. The price I payed these shoes should feel more comfortable but they are not. I do a lot of walking around at my job and might have to run sometimes. So I need very comfortable shoes.

I’ve worn exclusively Brooks for 11 years, and only Ghost model for 9 years. I swore I’d never wear another shoe. But this one is awful. Something happening in the toe box that gave me a blister. And the shoe is tight. By the time I loosened it enough I could barely tie the strings they were so short. They had to be returned. I am in a different brand now. Same price. Super comfy. Like saying goodbye to an old friend though. I’m sad.

Great shoe

This is my second pair of Brooks Ghost and they have upgraded the shoe and made it even better. There is a bit more room in the toe box making it roomier when you walk and so much support for my ankle. Totally love wearing these all day. Easy to do long hikes in them, well done!

Ghost vs Adrenaline

I’ve worn Brooks shoes since 2010. I LOVED the pure cadence shoe but changed to the Adrenaline a few years ago. I needed a new pair of shoes and didn’t care for the new colors for the adrenaline shoe. I found the ghost and read that it was very similar to the adrenaline shoe. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been my experience. I’m not happy at all with this shoe for long distance running and will be looking to replace with something different.

This is my 2nd pair of Ghost with Gortex. Absolutely love them. No issues with arch or heel rubbing. Toe box provides sufficient space and support. The extra support in the heel makes for a comfortable run.
