Cascadia 19 delivers versatile trail performance with adaptive support and rugged grip
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve tested the Cascadia 19 across mud, scree, and root-covered trails, and it just handles everything. The midsole is cushioned but not soft, and the grip gives me confidence bombing descents or grinding uphill switchbacks. It’s a legit go-anywhere trail shoe."
We don’t run the same trail twice, so we run in the Brooks Cascadia 19. Built as a true all-terrain multitool, this trail shoe adapts to changing surfaces and unpredictable weather with confidence-inspiring traction, reliable protection, and a balanced, stable ride. Whether we’re navigating mud, wet rock, or packed dirt, the Cascadia's updated TrailTack rubber outsole bites into the ground to keep us grounded.
Its 6mm drop and neutral support provide a natural yet protected feel underfoot, while the rock plate and mudguard shield against sharp debris and trail spray. The breathable upper is reinforced to last through scrambles and season after season of long miles, and it feels light enough for daily trail training but tough enough for ultra distances. Whether we’re linking ridgelines or tackling wet, rooted switchbacks, the Cascadia 19 is ready to move with us.

Great trail shoes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to try these shoes for a while. They have raised lugs for walking/running on dirt trails. So the first thing I noticed was that when walking on pavement they were a little wobbly. Once I got on the trail they were great. They're comfortable and provide traction. The fit is correct as I ordered my regular size and the shoes fit great. I like the color of the shoes.

Go tos
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had to replace my NB trail shoes because my toes were starting to hurt, which was painful bc they had a lot of life left. These Cascadias are comfortable and have good grip. My only gripe so far is a small one: if you get a ton of small rocks and the like in your shoes, they can be hard to get out of the shoe as there are nooks and crannies that they get trapped in. I had to fish them out with my finger. This was after a tough mudder though. Overall, I love these shoes.

Great shoe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such a great shoe, the tread is amazing, had to ford a creek last week and climbing out afterward on the bank, there was no slipping. The cushioning suits me gait as well. I love the shoe lace holders as well.

Highly recommend!!
Definitely seems lighter than my last pair of Cascadia’s. Very comfortable. Great look. High quality!! Best for running/hiking. Not really for casual use, imo.

First time trail runner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first trail shoe ever! I’ve been a loyal Brooks shoe runner/racer since the 80s and have decided to do a little trail running. First off, these are not a road shoe. A bit stiff with a generous toe box and a snug, well fitted heal cup. A little heavier then I like yet with good stability and traction on rougher terrain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this isn great versatile platform that still performs highly in the domain of running its marketed for. This is an exceptional trail shoe with a rock plate that can handle anything, and traction that will keep you on the trail. This shoe also performs highly as a daily trainer, able to keep up with high demand and giving you a steady grip for when the weather decides to turn on you. I’ve also used this shoe in the gym! I do a lot of dynamic workouts requiring me to move throughout my sessions and it holds up! Would 100% recommend this shoe to anyone, from an elite trail runner to a CrossFit athlete!

Mind the Gap
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The achilles heal of a good shoe. The gap in the tread in the middle of heal has proved to be the favorite spot for nefarious rocks to poke and prode my heal into jankiness. CLOSE THE GAP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Toe box too narrow
Loved my Cascadia 18's so bought a pair of 19's thinking they'd be the same...nope! Brooks narrowed the toe box and I could tell instantly my feet were not going to like the tightness. Packed up and returned, hope they go back to a wider toe box for the 20's or I'll have to find another shoe. Bought a replacement pair of 18's before they disappeared.
