Cascadia 19 delivers versatile trail performance with adaptive support and rugged grip

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I’ve tested the Cascadia 19 across mud, scree, and root-covered trails, and it just handles everything. The midsole is cushioned but not soft, and the grip gives me confidence bombing descents or grinding uphill switchbacks. It’s a legit go-anywhere trail shoe."

We don’t run the same trail twice, so we run in the Brooks Cascadia 19. Built as a true all-terrain multitool, this trail shoe adapts to changing surfaces and unpredictable weather with confidence-inspiring traction, reliable protection, and a balanced, stable ride. Whether we’re navigating mud, wet rock, or packed dirt, the Cascadia's updated TrailTack rubber outsole bites into the ground to keep us grounded.

Its 6mm drop and neutral support provide a natural yet protected feel underfoot, while the rock plate and mudguard shield against sharp debris and trail spray. The breathable upper is reinforced to last through scrambles and season after season of long miles, and it feels light enough for daily trail training but tough enough for ultra distances. Whether we’re linking ridgelines or tackling wet, rooted switchbacks, the Cascadia 19 is ready to move with us.

Stability and comfort come to mind.

Very aggressive heal. I am still adjusting to the style.

Great shoe

My shoe size is 13.5 and I bought a size 14. The shoes fit great. I really like the traction the outsole provides. I walk about nine miles a day and have had no issues in the first month of using them. I normally wear a narrow width B shoe, but these come in a D. No problems with the width.

19 = 0

I have been running roads and trails, and hiking in Brooks shoes for over two decades. The Cascadia 19 is the most disappointing Brooks shoe I have ever purchased. The forefoot is stupid wide and sloppy, and the shoe will simply not lock down. Between the stretch in the shoe laces, the fat in the tongue, and the stretch in the mesh, the Cascadia 19 gave me the first blisters I have ever received in Brooks shoes. The foot print is ridiculously wide, making the shoe almost unusable in tight single track. Plus, the toe kick protection is profoundly wimpy.

The best Brooks ever.

Brooks wearer exclusively. Bought for rotation with Cascadia 17 and others , they pretty much fit perfect right of the box no break in at all. Cushion perfect, I want another pair since they were so great, but lacking in suitable colors for me.

So far so good

Great platform, fit, comfort, and flexibility. Overall value will be judged on persistence of above.

I am quite fond of these sneakers, they are incredibly comfortable, whether I'm strolling around in the house or on unpaved surfaces. They are also excellent for hiking in the woods, they never let me down. The sneakers have a lot of tread, and they grip well, ensuring I never have to worry about slipping on any surface. They are suitable for wet surfaces. The only thing I would suggest changing is to offer more colors in extra wide sizes. I would have preferred to have the sneaker in a different color.

Cascadia 19

Love this shoe. So stable and comfortable - and a cool look. Liked the first pair so much, I bought another color two weeks later.

COMFORT AND DURABILITY

At 60 I am definitely weighing comfort over speed. I need endurance over the long haul. I tend to get pain in my knee and hip when running more than about a 5K. Brooks running shoes are the only shoes that I have owned that actually make that pain go away. I feel better after a few miles in these shoes on the trail (and my Ghost 16s on pavement) than I do at the beginning of a run. I finally got these out in the woods for a 7 mile shakeout run followed by a 1.5 mile cool down hike, and I felt great throughout. I'm looking forward to wearing these for a 50K in a couple of months. These were also the ONLY Brooks trail shoe I could find in a 2E width so I'm thankful that they are so comfortable and durable. I'll definitely be putting some miles on them.
