Here's what customers have to say
These trekking poles are generally well-received, with customers highlighting their lightweight, compact, and adjustable design. The cork handles and sturdy construction are appreciated, and the poles are reported to be helpful for hiking on various terrains. However, some users have experienced issues with the locking mechanism, which can cause the poles to become loose or even break. Additionally, the adjustment range may not be suitable for taller users. Overall, the poles appear to offer good value and are a popular choice for hikers and backpackers.

Older version
I have an older version of this pool and love the cork grip, new strap, and extended foam grip. I like the concept of these very compact poles for travel but find that they rattle no matter how tight I make them. And eventually, because of that looseness, I think the metal at the joint wears. I would only buy flick locks in the future.

Hiking Help
The poles are light weight, fit nicely in your hand and definitely add to the hiking experience. I have found them especially useful on terrain that is full of tree roots and rocks, river crossings and muddy, slippery ground. I am 5’7”, the s/m are the right size.

Appear to be of good quality and as presented on Web pg.
As stated above, I think they will work well, but found they require strong hands to deploy, as the locking sleeve is tight and difficult to grasp and slide (improved with suggested silicone spray but still tight); I used paraffin wax on the chrome (male portion) of the joints of one of the poles which helped to deploy on of them. I'm still working to separate a joint on the other pole (with rubber gripper) and will try paraffin on it when the chrome portion is exposed.

Great pole, there should be some overlap between sizes
The poles are great, pretty light, they feel sturdy, the grips are comfortable, and the straps are comfortable. I wish the two sizes overlapped some; I need an S/M pole for my tent, and my hiking length is in the larger pole. I would have gone with the carbon, but they have no adjustment at all. I also appreciate the two different baskets and the rubber tips included with the set of poles.

Pursuit Trekking Poles
I just received my new trekking poles and they work like a charm on uneven ground. They are easy to lock into their extended position and are small enough to pack in a suitcase.

FLZ Trekking Poles
So far so good with my new trekking poles. My first pair served me well for 3 years. I broke one this winter coming down from South Double Top in the Catskills. My new pair is an improvement. The cork handles are more generous in overall circumference which fit my hands better. The lock mechanism is a vast improvement over my first pair that incorporated a retractable collar which collapsed on me when i reach too far down on the pole when ascending a step climb. I`m very pleased with my new trekking poles. Kudos to Black Diamond for making such a great product. Happy Trails . . . Mick
