Lightweight and compact, the Distance LT 1100 is built to shine on pre-dawn-to-dark endurance days, where every ounce counts. The bounce-free design features a slim, pivoting lens assembly, while the main rechargeable battery housing remains fixed and stable against the headband. The integrated PowerTap™ Technology temporarily boosts the light to 1100 lumens with a simple tap for long-range viewing, and automatically dims after 10 seconds to conserve battery life. The Distance’s engineered lens design maintains broad, diffuse lighting and depth perception through the range of brightness levels.

Bright but build quality issues
I like the brightness and spot+diffusion, tricolor LEDs, swiveling lamp(in theory), function of headband. Really don't like the color temperature of white LEDs(greenish tint), fragile clear lens that has broken on two of my headlamps from gentle handling. I even put a soft screen protector on my second one, and noticed it broke again after gently setting it down on a wooden table. No rock climbing or rugged use, never dropped, yet the clear lens get spider cracks looking at it wrong. Also, a glitch with the blue LED staying on after 1)turning off with power-tap enabled, 2) locking 3) pressing ‘on’ button. Build quality is hit n miss, my second lamp swivel has resistance and will not stay in the fully down position.

Easy to use

Bright Headlamp
Very impressed with the feature set and functionality. Varying the light level, changing to night mode, and turning on the lighthouse level spotlight is very easy. Compact, great to keep on hand

Wow its bright

No second thoughts if you need one
I've used this so much, as a mechanic, camping, walks, cooking, hikes, rock climbing and more. It's bright and last a long time. Ove had it for over a year and will definitely buy another one if mine where to brake, but as much as I've banged this one up, I don't think that would happen

Should be good for another decade!
This headlamp checked all the boxes for me: USB-C charging, modular/replaceable battery, red LED, and the light burst mode where it gets super bright for a few seconds is something I didn't realize I would love so much. This replaced my other BD headlamp that I've been rocking for over a decade. Excited to step into the modern day with the built-in rechargeable battery and ditch the AAA's for good.
