Great poles, unfortunate grip defect
The poles are great, very strong and very light weight. The carbon absorbs the shock well. Unfortunately, my cork grip on one of them cracked and broke on a through hike through regular use. Had to tape it up on the trail. Are the handles replaceable?

Best Hiking pole on the market.
Lightweight carbon and Cork handles are amazing. Cork makes all the difference on those hot days when sweat is a factor.

They’re very nice. very light with the tech tips on them. Better than the tip protectors. Moved to the Tetons for the summer. So they are getting used. Wolf creek yesterday (easy) Middle Teton tomorrow 😳

My favorites
I had a pair and loved them but lost them due to being a space cadet. I was hesitant to shell out the cash for a new pair, so I went with a cheaper pair of Lekis. The Lekis are fine, but I always missed my BD carbon cork poles. I finally buckled and got a new pair of BDs. The cork grip is solid and substantial and allows the grip to gradually shape to your hand. The flick lock system is secure and easy to operate. And I like the lightweight carbon construction. I’ve jammed them into talus when moving quickly and was afraid I’d break one but they are very durable.

Great Poles
I’ve been using BD Carbon Fiber poles for many years. “The new Alpine Carbon Cork Trekking Poles are a replacement. I liked the Dual-density top knobs and nonslip foam grips on my old Alpine Carbon Fiber Poles so I was concerned about the Soft-touch ergonomic grip top with 100% natural cork grip and EVA foam grip extension on the new Alpine Carbon Cork Trekking Poles. After using the new poles I am happy with their feel and performance. The new FlickLock® Pro adjustability— featuring forged aluminum construction are much easier to use and I really pleased with their ease of use. Of course anything made of carbon fiber is going to be pricy but when it comes to BD you can count on what they make to perform the way you need it to.

Great Piece of Gear!
Frankly I was a little skeptical at first whether the price was going to be supported by the value, but I can safely say that this is one of my better gear purchases in a long time. Build quality is exceptional and they have functioned flawlessly for me so far. I would highly recommend.

Super light - love it
I took these for a spin the other day on a small hike and love how light they are. I got these for a big trek later this year and look forward to using them!

Trek poles
I’ve been using black diamond trek poles for hunting and hiking for years and the alpine carbon are by far the lightest rugged pole I’ve ever used.

Amazing Poles
Bought these for my wife (for Christmas) to replace a really old pair of Black Diamond hiking poles. So they haven’t been used yet but they are beautifully designed and incredibly lightweight. I would highly recommend them!
