Captain Toast was headed on an adventure to the rainy shores of San Diego and needed some protection to stay dry. This little number did the trick and kept the sir happy while he strolled along the wet sidewalks and quick potty breaks. The hood feature is a must have and the zipper action was smooth and well functioning. The material is on par with real adventure gear and we expect it to hold up for many moons. Great style and quality

I loved the look and style and quality but it was tooooo small. The large definitely did not fit my 60 lb boy. It zipped up, but tight!! So sad we could not keep it

I’m really bummed the sizing is off with this jacket. I absolutely loved this jacket in the store, and the price wasn’t bad, but unfortunately I didn’t have my dog with me for her to try it on. The color is cute, the fit would be cute, but it doesn’t fit my dog. She’s a thin 50lb husky mix and the XL was too small on her. She has a little bit of a deep chest, and the jacket is tight on her with it zipped. I’m bummed because usually she’s a medium in ruffwear and usually a medium / occasionally a large in pet store items.

Difficult to use and strangely designed, but cute

I don't understand why this jacket is so well reviewed. It zips like a people-jacket, and that doesn't make much sense for a dog. If your dog wiggles or is fuzzy/fluffy, it takes a fair amount of effort to zip on. The zipper travels in the opposite direction as the fur, so fur gets trapped easily. Why is the zipper pull made from thick elastic shock-cord? If your dog has remotely short legs, they can and will step out of the sleeves and get their legs trapped in the jacket. The idea for the sleeves is there, but more effort should have gone into tweaking their design. One extra star because it's cute and functions as a rain jacket when you finally get it on the dog.

Sizing Unreliable

I actually measured my dog to be certain the size I was purchasing would fit and even bought a size up to be safe. The coat that arrived is the size I ordered but it's too small for me to even get on my dog. These are all sized for small to tiny breeds, even up to the XL size. My dog is a 45 lb shepherd and I can't even get the L sized coat on her.

A little snug for my pug

I purchased a size Medium for my 1-year old, 22lb pug and it fits now but next year, probably not. The zipper fits very snug against his chest which I don’t mind because it keeps him dry. Overall, a great item, but the sizing is a little small. Very high quality and the collar hole is a nice touch!

Zipper catches hair!

Too small and the zipper catches any loose hair! Horrible design. Getting one with velcro instead.

Got one of these at Petco and was pretty surprised by the quality of materials. I picked up an XL, thinking the sizing looked a bit smaller, and hoping that the XL would give my dog (a fairly lanky husky) the ability to wear a Ruffwear harness (which tend to be thick) underneath without problems. Unfortunately, the fit was a bit tight even without a harness, and my dog wasn't able to walk with it zipped up. Even unzipped, it was a bit constricting, and eventually he managed to just wiggle it off. In terms of waterproofing, it's great. However, given how the largest size (I could find) still runs small on a fairly medium sized working breed (he typically wears a Ruffwear medium and barely gets over 50 lb), I would only recommend this for a smaller dog with a less broad chest.

It's a great little coat. Highly recommend! Fairly well constructed.
